With so many budding photographers out there lately, we have teamed up with The Real Mary King’s Close  to bring you a horror of a competition!

The Real Mary King’s Close had been Edinburgh’s best kept secret for many years until it was opened to the public for guided tours. A hidden maze of streets frozen in time since the 17th century are the scene for this amazing prize. Experience chills running up your spine as you and up to 20 of your friends navigate the dark streets deep underneath the city! Prepare to scream and jump with fright as you learnt the grisly story behind the close.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning this competition is send us a photograph of a ghost!

If you have a old photograph of a spooky image, something you just can’t explain, send it in to us, and even if you don’t have real image, but are good with PhotoShop, then work your magic and send that into us. To make the competition easy and open to everyone, if you have a cute spooky picture then send that in, as long as it has a ‘ghost’ in it and you live in Edinburgh, then it is eligible.

Competition Rules.

1) Photographs must be sent before the closing date, 18th November to edseasonswin@gmail.com. Entries received after closing date will not be judged. One entry per email address.

2) All photographs are submitted on the understanding they may be published on the Edinburgh Seasons website, and all rights and ownership reserved.

3) The competition will run between 9th November, 2011 and 18th November, 2011, midnight.

4) The competition is open to everyone, but children will need permission from an adult to enter, and in the event they win, they will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult in accordance with the venue’s rules.

5) The winning entry will be judged by Edinburgh Seasons and the winner notified by email. They will then be announced on the Edinburgh Seasons website and relevant social media channels, one week after closing date.

6) The prize must be taken within the detailed time scale dictated by the venue. Details upon request.

7) All rights to distribute the photographs must be made available upon request by the competition organisers. In the event this can not be proved, prize may be forfeited.
