Where to take Children swimming in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh has some great council run swimming pools within their leisure centres at Gracemount, Portobello, Glenogles, Dalry, Drumbrae, Warrender, Leith Victoria, Leith Water World and Ainslie Park. Edinburgh residents are very lucky as the pools are very well maintained and user friendly.

All centres are easy to find by public transport and have car parking facilities. A full list of swimming pool opening times are available by centre on the Edinburgh Leisure website.

In particular we at Edinburgh Seasons enjoy Leith Waterworld, located at the bottom of Leith Walk. Leith Water World is a fantastic place for children of all ages. You will find the only swim centre in Edinburgh boasting flumes, waves machines, a fast flow channel and the river rapids! The swim centre is a great all weather place to take children of all ages and children over 9 do not need to be accompanied by an adult. Sessions of an hour and twenty minutes are run during busy periods and they operate a waiting time of 45 minutes to ensure the fun is not too far away.

There is a soft play area and cafe located within the centre ensuring children will be happily entertained aquatically and on dry land!
