The Dean Gallery in Edinburgh is part of the National Galleries of Scotland. It is the sister museum to the Modern Art Gallery. Most of what the Dean Gallery specialises in is Dada and the Surrealism movement. It also features work from the renowned sculptor Eduardo Paolozzi.

The Dean Gallery actually sits directly across the road from the Modern Art Gallery. The building is over 175 years old and was originally built as an orphan’s hospital. It was converted into a Gallery in 1999. The second floor houses the temporary exhibitions, while the first floor holds Penrose Gallery and the Paolozzi Gallery. These are the galleries that house the permanent collections held by the Dean Gallery.
